Introducing Lance Greencastle – Erotic stories, CFNM, FemDom, Spanking

I have decided to start writing under a new Pen Name of Lance Greencastle. I will continue to write stories and novels under the name of Declan Stanley but I do find it very hard to categorise my writing and from a marketing point of view I really don’t know who I am writing for (other than myself) and so when it comes to promoting my books I really don’t know who to aim my message at. That and the fact that by nature I would love to be a reclusive writer and not have to hop all over the internet shouting “Buy my book! Bye my book!” means that I don’t do any very effective marketing of my books at the moment.

When I wrote Alexandra I had no plan, either for writing the story or for market and selling the book afterwards. I just basically wrote what came to me biased on my own experiences of dating and falling in love and out came a story. The same is true with Alice. I just wanted to explore how our culture could impact on our sexual development. So I wrote a book loosely biased on Alice in Wonderland but incorporating modern cultural references. And as I was explicitly exploring sexuality I included explicit sex scenes in the book.

And while writing both books I was half thinking that sex sells so putting explicit sex scenes in my stories people will only encourage people to buy them, I have found that in reality I have missed the target with both potential demographics. For the people who want to read literary fiction there is both not enough literature and way too much sex in my stories. And for those potential readers interested in sex well… the average erotic book has something like five “cum shots” per chapter so going two and a half chapters between vanilla sex scenes was just not floating their boats.

So as I read a lot more erotica than literary fiction I decided that I should follow my heart and jump right into the porn industry. Well at least try my hand at writing and marketing explicitly erotic ebooks. So, as my first pet was called “Lance” and the name of the road I grew up on was “Greencastle” the pen name “Lance Greencastle” seemed entirely appropriate. I am using this pen name in order to establish a distinct brand name for a specific type of erotic writing that I believe is narrow enough in focus that I can cover all the keywords that people will type into search engines when looking for such stories, but still popular enough to have a large market of willing ebook buyers.

So the specific Keywords/fetish themes that Lance Greencastle will write about are CFNM, FemDom, Spanking and Chastity/Orgasm control. This also allows me to write fun light stories that can be erotically charged as well as allowing me to exercise my interest in physiological insight into the human condition and examining the nature of power and control, and freedom and slavery, desire, lust, love and truth. Erotic e-Book Reviews

I like reading erotica and I find e-books very handy. But, except for erotic romances, find it very hard to get good reviews of erotic e-books. And I don’t really read many erotic romances.

As a self-published writer I also find it very hard to find places to get my own books reviewed. Some sites only do romances, some don’t accept erotica, and others don’t accept self-published books. So as a self-published writer of erotic e-books I find it hard to find sites that will consider reviewing my books.

So I thought as a service to the world, and to fill a potential gap in the market, and following the maxim “if you want it done, why are you not doing it yourself?” I decided to review some erotic eBooks.

To add some measure of consistency to what will be my own subject opinion of these books I will be giving a 0-5 Star rating for each book using the following criteria:

The excitement factor
Story/Characters
The writing/Editing
The Price
Over all Enjoyment

For each criteria I will mark none, one half or a full star. And I will post the reviews on the sites where the stories are available and here on my own blog.

I can’t guarantee when I’ll write these reviews, nor how many or how often I will write them. But you can expect a few over the next week or so before the initial enthusiasm wares off.
