Mid Jan’09 Update

It is 10 days since I sent my YouTube audition video to the UK Big Brother team, so I’m guessing at this stage that I am not going to be kick-starting my career as a best selling author by appearing on a reality TV show.
In the meantime I have been revising Alexandra in anticipation of releasing a paperback version of the book so that those people who wish to support my career will have something they can actually buy.
There were lots of full stops”.” instead of commas”,” and lots of “some how”(two words) instead of “somehow”(one word). I am also changing from using “s” to “z” i.e. from “realise” to “realize”. And in difference to the fact that the majority of my visitors are from the US(India a close second and UK a distant third) I am changing from “our” to “or” spellings i.e. from “colour” to “color”.
I am restraining myself from making anything more than superficial edits to the text, not because I think it is perfectly written, but because once I open that can of worms I couldn’t tell you how long it would take me to finish working on it. And I really don’t need to be writing, or rewriting, yet another novel.
I am going to self publish through CreateSpace, so you will be able to buy my novel on Amazon.com like a “real writer” this should mean that once I have the revisions finished I will be able to offer the book for sale almost immediately, however CreateSpace will not sell my book until I provide them with an ITIN(US Tax number), which means I have to visit the American Embassy here in Ireland to prove that I really exist. But don’t worry I will let you know just as soon as my existence is confirmed and my book is for sale.
